"Area ninth graders explored some of the rich geology in Uvalde County on July 9 - 10 as participants in Young Geoscientists, a two - day field study sponsored as part of the GeoFORCE Texas Program.

"Students representing 10 Southwest Texas school districts including Brackettville, Del Rio, Dilley, Eagle Pass, Hondo, La Pryor, Nueces Canyon, Pearsall, Rocksprings and Uvalde, took part in the year's field study.

"Mr. Mike Flores and Ms. Haley Hale represented Brackettville at the recent event hosted by Southwest Texas Junior College (SWTJC)."
