"One soldier dies for every 18 criminals..."

From December 1, 2006 to December 1, 2011:

"There have been 948 confrontations between the Army and organized crime.."

"During the same five - year time period, 126 soldiers have died and 2, 268 presumed members of organized crime..."

"Besides the dead, 2,180 delinquents have been detained, this signifies that around 4,448 are now out of circulation..."

"Regarding the wounded there's a rough and ready parity of two(2) presumed criminals to one soldier. In all, 744 presumed criminals and 348 soldiers have been wounded in the confrontations...."
