Because if so, does this mean those rumors are right that assure us that not even an archbishop or bishop can do more these days than cave in to our own home - grown New Age Revolutionaries?

Oh, my! (Heh, heh, heh!) Guess we'll know for sure by this next weekend, huh?

"We thank the liturgical committee under the chairperson of Mrs. N. for their thoughtfulness in providing us a good way to commemorate our faithful departed this year through the provision of All Souls tree and leaflets.

"Do not forget to include your loved departed ones in the list.

"To forget them amounts to asking to be forgotten when you died."

Note one:

You'll find not so much as a written hint (much less a specific reference) to any such quasi - New Age tribal jive along the lines of "burning the leaves with the departed ones' names on them just before the last Saturday of November's afternoon Mass."

Note two:

The bilingual person giving out this information after this past Sunday's 8:00 am Sunday Mass (Nov. 2, 2008) kept mum about the New - Age angle, too! Which doesn't mean they'll not do it... :)
