"HUNT: Safely, Wisely, and Legally"

Adapted from the Rio Grande Electric Co - op magazine, October 2007.

"[In] the second (and most bizarre) Edwards County accident, a 47 - year old was hunting deer with a handgun.

"Texas Parks and Wildlife reported:

"The shooter was going to the bathroom, and when he pulled his pants down, his loaded .44 revolver fell and struck a rock.

"The bullet struck the victim in the lower back leg."

Now, our author's well - considered editorial comment:

"Now, we're not sure if they mean this guy had front legs, too, but it was clear that he had not completed a hunter safety course!"

Good point, professor! :)
