November 11, Veterans Day - USA.


November 11, Remembrance Day - Canada.




For all 60,000 clowns beat feet to Canada and Sweden to beat the draft during the Viet Nam War, a good many Canadians came south to take their place.

Not a few were in the Marine Infantry, or in at least in one flamboyant case, absconded from an in country US Naval unit the better to fight along side of us, as this "us" knows so well!

Now, this sailor was a certain well - known son of an Italian father and a Mohegan mother, a French - speaking Canadian metis, called, of course!
