"On March 19, 2013 at the inaugural Mass of Pope Francis' pontificate, Vice - President Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi did receive communion, but Pope Francis remained seated behind the altar..."

As the now - pope said in his 2010 book, while still in his native Argentina:

"I don't want that those people come to me for a photo - op..."
