#1. The Myth of the Communist Paradise on Earth

"TRUTH. Today we have a very good example of the manipulation of history by Communism with [the Communists'] distortion and falsification of facts.

"For the past several years, Russia has been rewriting her history books, showing that what they had taught for the past 70 years as true, in actuality was false.

"In fact, the peasants and the workers rebelled against Communism and were massacred by the millions.

"The newspapers in [today's] Russia have made it common knowledge that during the communist period all the Russian Orthodox bishops were members of the KGB.

"While at the same time, a Russian presidential commission report released in November 1996 charged that 200,000 clergy were murdered under Soviet rule in a horrific cycle of crucifixions, scalpings, and torture.

Clergymen were crucified on churches' holy gates, shot, strangled, and doused in water in winter until they froze to death, said Alexander Yakolev, chairman of the Commission for the Rehabilitation of the victims of Political repression.

"The massacre of millions of people is the real truth in contrast to what had been called the Peoples' Paradise."
