Let's celebrate this July 4th in loyal memory of our former allies in RVN!!

You might say there's a lot of Americans who put in beaucoup time in the 'bush back in 'ole Cong - land, in my own humble case roughly 33 1/2 months, between late November 1966 to early November 1969.

Yours truly has fond memories of those with whom we fought under their own banner, a yellow field with three (3) vertical stripes of red.

When one considers how many times it would have been so easy to have put any number of us "in the bag" using any number of half - baked Viet Cong snatch squads, it almost appears a miracle that so few, if any of us at all, ever were.

And folks we're talking here of the Marine Corp's Combined Action Program alone!

Where yours truly spent time from April 1969 to early November 1969, which includes hospital time at Da Nang's 'ole NSA Hospital.*

*NSA = Naval Support Activity

So, let's just say this, o.k.?

"Our allies were loyal to us and we to them, so there the matter rests! " :)
