"Re: Possible PR problem re recent drawing: looks like just maybe Rev. Jeffrey Janca of First Baptist Church, is entitled to believe he is being stiffed over his winning pick at the recent SMM Sring Festival drawing.

"Mrs. Voss:

"In a brief conversation with Rev. Janca yesterday at around 4:00 pm he informed me that some lady had called him and said he'd won a prize at our SMM Spring Fetival drawing.

"Upon going to the SMM rectory, he was told by someone he believed was our pastor -- Is his name omething like Father Quang? he asked me -- who told him, my guess is abruptly, I don't know anything about it.

"So, Rev. Janca went on about his business, and as he told it, called the lady - who assured him she'd take care of it.

"As of 4:00 pm yesterday afternoon, however, it seemed to me that Rev. Janca was convinced that nobody had taken care of anything.

"Inasmuch a a lot of money was raised, acording to our bulletin last Sunday, I sort of feel, anyway, that yes!

"Your Finance Committee does have a legitimate interest in this matter, and not just the Festival Committee!"

AND NOW THIS, RE: JACK BOXELL'S COMMENTS ON REPAIRS AT ST. BLAZE / SAN BLAS IN OUR LAST POSTING! :) x 3

"The same as with those unpaid invoices at our local hardware: the materials here were for our Spofford church location, St. Blaze and the fine elderly people in charge of doing the work believed our SMM pastor had made vague assurances that he'd either help or take care of at least part of it, but!

"As off[sic] a week or two back, Dennis -- the -- Hardware Man still waited for his invoice money!

"Thanks a bunch!

TODAY'S NOTE: "pastor" as we used here when we originally wrote this MEMO is a fairly vague reference to what we may safely say today is the now relieved / suspended / and hopefully -- the Good Lord willing! - soon - to - be - defrocked Rev. Fr. AntonQuang Dinh Van.
