"Open house welcomes students to the UTEP Union"

"Ms. Erika Anchondo, a student assistant at Union Services, excitedly points out Hawaiian decorations and colorful balloons she and a planning committee have ordered.

"Her face is brimming with excitement as she ticks off the different activities that will be available to students during the Union Building's annual open house, which is themed Summer Bash.

"Ms. Gloria Carballo, a sophomore media major and international student said she appreciates the fact that the Office of International Programs is in the Union, along with food venues and lounges.

"Ms. Carballo said, I am an international student from México, so it's convenient to come here [to] study, eat, meet people or even take a nap."
