CCC 251 on the Holy Trinity.

Catechism of the Catholic Church [ CCC ] 251:

"In order to articulate the dogma of the Trinity, the Church had to develop its own terminology with the help of certain notions of philosophical origin: 'substance,' 'person' or 'hypostasis,' 'relation,' and so on.

"In doing this, she did not submit the faith to human wisdom but gave a new and unprecedented meaning to these terms, which from then on would be used to signify an ineffable mystery, infinitely beyond all that we can humanly understand. 82"

82. Paul VI,
CPG Article 2.

Let's take a look at the Christian family's role in all this, o.k.?

Here's CCC 2205 -- more or less on the Christian family as a sign and image.

"CC 2205
The Christian family is a communion of persons, a sign and image of the communion of the Father and the Son in the Holy Spirit.

"In the procreation and education of children, it reflects the Father's work of creation.

"It is called to partake of the prayer and sacrifice of Christ.

"Daily Prayer and the reading of the Word of God strengthen it in charity.

"The Christian family has an evangelical and missionary task."
