UTEP "Queen leaves throne"

Royal resignations raise questions

Ms. Adriana Gómez Licón has the story, in The UTEP Prospector, October 9, 2008.

"April S. Dominguez, who was elected as UTEP's homecoming queen Oct. 5, resigned her position Oct. 7 due to personal reasons, said Dean of Students Gary Edens.

"In response to Dominguez's resignation, Jamie Boykins, junior nursing major, who was selected as homecoming duchess, also resigned
.

"[S]aid Boykins, who is also the Student Government Association vice president of internal affairs, I didn't agree with some of the things going on. I just didn't want to be part of it. I didn't want to be part of the court. I just don't want to be part of the drama..."

But was she really a UTEP stripper at Jaguars???

"Several students, who requested to remain anonymous, said that Dominguez, a sophomore English major and member of Alpha Xi Delta, used to work as a stripper at Jaguars Gold Club, a gentleman's club located at 11377 Gateway Blvd. West, on the East Side of El Paso."

So, what about Dr. Judith Hope Munter's "online personality?"

As a very expensive private duty (or whatever !!) nurse on Yahoo Personals??

At least in July of 2004??

The UTEP Detective got as good a chuckle out of her look - a - like online portrait as I did!

Because as Ms. Adriana Gómez Licón explains it, getting back to Ms. April S. Dominguez's case:

"The rules and regulations in the homecoming court application require applicants to state that they will represent that they have not and will not engage in any activities .. not limited to, but to include. ..professional or amateur nude or semi / nude photographs or video tapes, prostitution [Got 'cha, Professor Munter!] etc..."

My Question:

Why should UTEP hold a female student to a higher standard of conduct than a UTEP female professor of education, like UTEP's Doctor Judith Hope Munter?

Or is it simply a question that female UTEP education faculty are so underpaid they have to hustle after dark to pay their bills?

It doesn't add up, now, does it?
