"UTEP Celebrates Black History"

"Maceo Dailey, director of African American studies said [that] The University of Texas at El Paso is also a landmark for African American history

"In 1966, UTEP, formerly known as Texas Western College, started five black players in their victorious national championship game.

"This decision not only changed the face of college athletics, but helped the civil rights movement."
