The UTEP Prospector's Ms. Adriana Gómez Licón has this week's UTEP News:

"SGA to host legislative forum"

¡Adelante, Adriana!

Adapted from the Tuesday, March 3, 2009 issue.

"The Student Government Association [SGA] will host a forum for students to learn the pros and cons of Texas senate bills that concern UTEP, which are currently [being] discussed at the 81st Legislative Session in Austin.

"The legislative forum will take place from 12 to 4 p.m. March 3 - 5 at the Union Building East, Wiggins Room 315.

"SGA vice president for external affairs Mr. Alejandro Muñoz said members will present issues such as tuition cap, more regulations to award Texas grants and a new student endowment scholarship and internship program.

"Muñoz said, Students can learn and give opinion on Texas senate bills, so we can then make resolutions, our resolutions are not the final decision. It's just some supporting evidence."

A good read!!
